ExxonMobil CSJP - Grant

For the tenth year, ExxonMobil Foundation will award grants to 60 nonprofit agencies in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. to fund a summer college internship. Agencies that have received interns in the past or who have attended the mandatory New Agency Orientation are eligible to apply. The application is now available online! For more information about this program or to apply, click on "Nonprofits," then "ExxonMobil CSJP" using the tabs above. Applications are due Friday, December 5, 2008 at 4:00 pm. No exceptions will be made and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Training Added – Boot Camp

An extra Volunteer Management Boot Camp has been added to the 2008 training calendar. This fast paced, interactive sessions covers the entire volunteer cycle; from planning for your program through recruitment, supervision, and retention.  read more

Thank You! VolunteerFest® was a Success!

VolunteerFest® is a Community-Wide Day of Service held in conjunction with National Make a Difference Day. This year VolunteerFest® was held on Saturday, October 25, 2008. 600 individuals, 13 corporations and groups registered for 37 projects with 24 agencies on October 25th. Opportunities ranged from the beautification of school grounds and parks, helping to prepare food for the homeless, working with the elderly and much more! read more

"A Celebration of Giving and Sharing"

"A Celebration of Giving and Sharing" is growing, and we need you to be a part of this great program to make a difference in the lives of Fairfax County's children. In 2008, this wonderful program will once again provide backpacks filled with books and toys to elementary school students at our partner schools.

Our partner schools in 2008 will be:

Weyanoke Elementary - Alexandria
Woodlawn Elementary - Alexandria
Hutchison Elementary - Herndon
